Sanford
Vice-President
Programs &Curriculum
Jimmie is a former cheerleader
and graduate of UCLA. He’s
coached and choreographed for
many championship high school,
college, all-star and professional
cheerleading & dance teams
throughout theU.S., including two
CollegiateNational Champion-
ship titles. He’s choreographed
routines for theNFL Pro Bowl
Cheerleaders, San DiegoChar-
gers, Denver Broncos, San Fran-
sisco49ers and the LAClippers.
Internationally, he has judged and
taught cheerleading& dance in
various countries. His work has
been seenworldwide in such
events as theMacy’s Thanksgiv-
ingDay Parade, Paris & London
New Year’s Parades, the Aloha
Bowl andmanyNFL Pro-Bowls.
He’s workedwith artists such as
‘NSYNC, Montell Jordan, Salt ‘n
Peppa and98Degrees. Jimmie
modeled in Europe and appeared
in national TV commercials. Before
his current positionwith theUSA,
Jimmiewas theCheerleading and
Mascot Program for 16 years.

Scott Andrewsen
Cheerleading Program
Director
Scott has been involved in cheer-
leading for over 15 years. He has
coached and choreographed for
nationally ranked high school and
college teams. Hewas amember
of the Brigham Young University
Cheer Squad for several years.
Hewas also an assistant cheer
coach andmascot coordinator
for BYU. Scott alsoworkedwith
the Phoenix Suns as theMascot
Coordinator for TheGorilla. He’s
performed as amember of the
stunt team for theUtah Jazz, and
hadmany performances around
the state of Arizona for
the Phoenix Suns while
with theGorilla. Current-
ly, Scott has returned to BYU to
continue coaching. Scott is in his
fifth year as aCheerleading Pro-
gramDirector for theUnited Spirit
Association. In addition, he has
accepted additional responsibility
toworkwith USA’s Customers as
a StateDirector. If you still need

camp, he’s ready to help you!

Cheerleading/Mascot
ProgramDirector
For 27 years Jesa has been
involved in the industry, 20 of
those years working directly for
the United Spirit Association.
She has been an integral part of
our program development team
for the past 16 years. Jesa has
coached and choreographed for
numerous national championship
high schools and all star teams
throughout the state of California.
She has judged cheer and dance
Nationals in Japan and through-
out theWestern US for over 17
years. She has judged for 7
years at theUSASFCheerleading
World’s inOrlando, Florida. Her
choreography has been seen
worldwide in such events as the
LondonNew Year’s Parade and
numerousNFL games. She has
produced and directed pre-game
and half-time field shows for a
sports entertainment company,
e2k events and entertainment
for 15 years. She has worked
with artists such as
‘NSYNC, 98Degrees,
Santana, Ashlee Simpson, Enrique
Iglesias, JasonMraz, Train, Don
Ho and Lifehouse.

Carina is a graduate from
California StateUniversity Long
Beach, where she danced and
choreographed for a champion-
ship hip-hop team, PACModern.
She has choreographed for mul-
tiple professional dance teams
including the Indiana Pacers, Los
Angeles Clippers, San Diego
Charger Girls,
ChivaGirls and
theNFL Pro Bowl
Cheerleaders.
Carina is a former
member for the Los
Angeles Clipper
Spirit andwas a
dancer in themovie “Bring It On:
Fight to the Finish”. She has also
performed in live stage shows at
Hollywood’s El Capitan Theater
for Disney/Pixar’s Brave,Wreck
It Ralph andMonsters Inc. In her
nineteen years with the United
Spirit Association, Carina has
taught for the song/pom staff,
jazz staff, and has been an
integral part of the program
development for the Songlead-
ing and Pep Flag Programs.
She currently is in her 11th year
as the Songleading & Pep flag
ProgramDirector.
