The Ragin’ Cajun cheerleaders from the University of Louisiana are looking to take on the 2017-18 season by rising to the challenge! One of the team’s biggest goals for the year is to continue to grow the program in a positive direction while successfully supporting the amazing Ragin’ Cajun athletic programs.

In 2017, UL made huge growth as a team. They excelled on the sidelines in their game day performances and were extremely proud of their performance at UCA College Nationals!

This year’s team consists of 11 coed couples who are lead by spirit coordinator Michelle Bernard and head coach Courtney Begnaud. The team feels like they are off to a great start to the year! They attended UCA college camp at the University of Texas in July where they excelled in the sideline division and were ecstatic to receive the leadership award.

“The leadership award meant so much the team because it reassured them that our program is moving in a positive direction and that they were making an impact on their peers,” coach Begnaud said.

This season, the Cajuns look to gain more elite skills to showcase at games while always looking game day ready! In addition to strong goals to reach on the sidelines, the UL cheer team is working hard to make finals in 2018 at UCA College Nationals. The team hopes to achieve these goals by pulling in the same direction and bonding together as a team!
