Flyers All Starz Striving For Perfection At Feel The Power

Flyers All Starz ended their 2019 season with some serious hardware. They smashed Canadian records by bringing home a bronze medal, a silver medal, and three World Championship titles. Those successes were the cherry on top of the legacy that the program had built throughout the last decade.

Now, entering 2020, expectations have never been higher. Some might find it intimidating, but the Flyers continue to rise and shine.

On Day 1 here at Feel The Power East in Ontario, Canada, the World's teams from Flyers went 3-for-3 with incredible deduction-free routines.

Reigning World Champion in the L5 Global Division, Knockout, is taking on a new challenge this season going Coed for the first time. They are also in the brand new L5 International Coed Division this season, where they hope to make some noise in the division’s first year at Worlds.

Having secured an At-Large bid already this season, Knockout has their eyes on upgrading to a Paid Bid here in Ontario. They showed their traditional aggressive style and incredibly quick-paced stunts, along with some sky-high gorgeous basket tosses. The World Champions look to be stepping in the ring for another global knockout.

Reigning Worlds silver medalists in International Non Tumbling Level 6, Fearless, came to Feel The Power looking like they have a newfound confidence since their World's debut in 2019. Today, they had the look of a team that knows that they deserve to be among the best in the world. Even in the opening pose before the music began, you could tell that these ladies were the embodiment of their team name and that they were not scared to show off this season’s routine. They knocked it out of the park for an awesome Day 1 performance that they’ll be looking to repeat tomorrow.

Flyers’ newest Worlds team, Rise, proved that they are a welcome addition to the FA Worlds' family. The first-ever Worlds team out of the Ottawa location, Rise delivered a zero-deduction routine that the entire program was so proud of.

Head Coach at Flyers, Vanessa Jacob, told us “This team is progressing so much. For them to handle the pressure today like they did means a lot. I am so excited about our World's team debut from Ottawa!”

If the foundational performance is important for a team’s success, then Rise has every reason to believe that they will be able to build on this performance for many years to come.

It’s never a surprise to see the teams from Flyers All Starz having success, but the deduction free day that they had here at Feel The Power was special. Jacob told us that they have been preparing for that exact outcome leading up to the event.

“We worked really hard to make sure they were ready to hit today, and also to be able to handle the pressure.”

The preparations paid off, as today was a day to celebrate three incredible World team performances for the program.

Make sure to tune in and watch the Day 2 performances from Flyers All Straz here at Feel the Power East 2020.
