At Varsity Spirit, the health and safety of our athletes, coaches, employees, families and friends is our top priority. We are continuing to monitor the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and review official information from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as it relates to our larger community and our events, camps and competitions. We are also taking proactive, preventative measures for all of our employees. We understand that this is a fluid situation, and we have a dedicated response team working to make sure we keep our participants and attendees updated as the situation continues. Any changes to upcoming events will be based on the guidance provided by public health organizations like local authorities, and event partners, among others.
Varsity Spirit offers a variety of in-person and virtual events to meet the needs to each team. If you are a parent or spectator with health and safety related questions regarding your specific team’s competition selection, please direct those inquiries to your coach or gym owner.
To continue to provide our athletes, fans and spectators with the most flexible and safest experiences, Varsity Spirit has made several modifications to best serve you during this time. View our camp and competition experience guidelines below. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By attending our events, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. Please help keep each other safe and healthy by following the guidance provided.
All event updates are being made in the myVarsity camp and competition listings.
Updated 9.8.22: It is our intention to hold our events and activities live and in-person for the 22-23 season, whenever possible. Based on the evolving environment and to best protect the health and safety of those participating and attending our events, we may need to modify the operation of an event based on CDC, state, local and venue guidelines. We understand that this is a fluid situation, and we have a dedicated response team working to make sure we keep our employees, participants and attendees updated as things evolve.
As part of our commitment to safety, our goal is to assist with providing information of possible exposure to those that may have attended an event where someone tested positive. Close contact will be determined utilizing the CDC definition: a close contact is anyone who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period (for example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes). Following the event, please use this link to report any COVID-19 positive cases that occur within 2 days of the event.
You can trust Varsity Spirit to lead the way in bringing back events safely. If you have additional questions regarding your specific event, we are here to help. We hope to see you soon and thank you for being part of our Varsity Spirit Family.
Updated 11.15.22: Varsity Spirit will continue to monitor the guidance presented by the local and state authorities and experts, and camps will only take place when we can host them responsibly and safely.
