Varsity Event Administration

Responsibilities of the VEA staff include but are not limited to:

• General safety and security of all participants and coaches.
• Work with host site personnel to effectively use the resources provided at each event location while complying with applicable policies and procedures.
• Complete an Emergency Action Plan based on location and available resources.
• Confirm that necessary registration information is completed by all coaches and athletes to safely participate in events.
• Remain on-site and available for the entire duration of assigned events.
• Conduct nightly checks of all teams at summer camps.
• Assist in the prevention of injuries by inspecting facilities and weather conditions to avoid potential hazards.
• Provide basic first aid assistance as needed when injuries do occur.
• Assist with event management and operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Must be CPR/AED and First Aid Certified
• Able to work independently and as a team.
• Able to problem solve and create effective solutions.
• Onsite management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize various tasks.
• Ability to grasp new technology.
