Beekman Charter Belles Shine In The NDA Home Camp Showcase!

Summer is in full swing and talented teams across the country are perfecting their skills, bonding as a team, and celebrating their school spirit at camp!

The Beekman Charter Belles took part in an NDA Home Camp this summer and they put their skills on display in Varsity TV's Home Camp Showcase.

Teams participating in an NDA Home Camp are invited to upload videos of their Team Dance, a Game Day, and Style Routine on Varsity TV to display their talent and spirit across the nation.

This Louisianna school showcased six incredible routines including a Team Dance, a Game Day routine, and four Style Routines. The Beekman Charter Belles competed at the NDA Dance National Championship in 2019 and their Home Camp this summer was the first step in their journey back to the championship this season.

"I am so proud of them for learning everything so quickly," shared Beekman Varsity Dance Coach, Jane Hynum. "Our camp was a four-day camp, but we learned a total of seven routines which was a lot considering six of the seven girls were new to the team. Only two of those had any dance experience."

"We had a wonderful experience! Our instructor was extremely talented and encouraging. She carefully broke down the dances in a way that my team quickly caught on and were able to retain what they learned. They loved dancing with her!" – Coach Hynum

The Lousiana school plans to continue to clean the routines they learned at camp so that when an opportunity arrives such as a game or event, they will be fully prepared to perform at their best.
