Tell us a little bit about yourself! My name is Anna Larson Brady. I‘m almost 17 years old and I am a junior at Christ Church Episcopal School. I’m currently taking three AP classes and I love spending time with my friends.

Give us a fun fact or story about you.

I’m named after my Swedish great-grandmother, whose maiden name was Larson.

What does being an Epic Athlete mean to you?

Epic Athlete, to me, is one of the highest honors for which to be selected in the All Star Cheerleading Industry. It is an honor to be affiliated with some of the most respected, amazing, and talented athletes.

How do you embody the essence of an Epic Athlete in day-to-day life?

I always try to do my best in school, life, and cheer. I‘m dedicated to putting in the time needed and maintaining a positive attitude. I prioritize my schedule in order to achieve my goals. Time management helps me keep a healthy balance and ensure that all of my responsibilities are cared for.

Tell us about your journey of how you got to where you are now.

My journey in sports began at age two and a half with a gymnastics class. At age 7, I switched from gymnastics to All Star Cheer. I joined Rockstar Cheer mid-season and was placed on a level 2 team called the Monkeys. I was a front spot and main tumbler that year. The following year, on the Heartbreakers, I was a level 3. The Heartbreakers were an amazing team and I have many fond memories from my time on this team, including winning Cheersport! The next year was difficult because I was coming off of a winning season with the Heartbreakers to an average season with the Scorpions and I had added a new position, level 4 flying. I did hours and hours of private lessons stretching and working with anyone that would help and work with me. I began training about a year prior to making scorpions. I trained hard consistently each and every day! I worked each level of skill in order for me to catch up and be prepared to come in and “fly” at such a high level without prior experience. I eventually decided to double team to gain my confidence in the air. I was very driven and dedicated. I eventually ended up participating on three cheer teams that year because our gym added a half year team, the who, that attended NCA Dallas for the first time! I tried out and made that team, which made for quite the year and experience. Our team won NCA Dallas! The following two years I continued on to fly “Chile Peppers restricted 5” and “ACDC junior 5.” I finally became of age and eligibility to make my dream team, the Beatles. I was Beatles front center flyer 2016-17! This is now my fifth year cheering with the Beatles!

What is the most impactful lesson you’ve learned throughout your cheer career?

I have learned many lessons throughout my cheer career. Some of my most notable, and the ones I think of most often are: Hard work pays off. Never give up. Be a team player. Look ahead to always chasing a new dream or goal. Enjoy what you do.

#1 cheer memory so far?

My memory as Beatles Front Center Flyer Worlds 2017 was an amazing and an unforgettable experience!

What is your next move? Where do you go from here?

My next dream/goal is to attend Clemson University and cheer for the Clemson Tigers.
