Gem Of Champions To SHINE At UCA Dixie!

The 2019 UCA Dixie Championship is almost here, and teams are getting ready to compete for a championship this weekend! Gem Of Champions from D’lberville and Laurel, Mississippi are taking the mat for the first time this season.

The gym is owned by University of Kentucky alumni, Jeremy Lumpkin, alongside All Star Director, Alli Lumpkin. This is their 7^th season and GOC will be taking five teams to The UCA Dixie Championship!

Pink Diamond, Zircon, Emerald, Sapphire and Jade are the five teams taking the mat this weekend and the coaches have a few goals set for their gym! “This will be our first competition of the season,” said All Star Director Alli Lumpkin. “ We place importance on hit routines and zero deductions. Our hope is that our athletes leave with confidence for the rest of the season!”

This will be the first time that Gem Of Champions has competed at the UCA Dixie Championship, and we can’t wait to see how they do!

Along with a few goals set for this weekend, Jeremy and Alli Lumpkin have a long term goal for their teams this season! “We would love for our teams to grow in their skills,” said Alli, “maximizing the score sheet in all categories throughout the season.”

There is something special about small gyms and Alli agrees! “We love the relationships we are able to form with families, not just athletes,” said Alli. “ Our lines of communication are always open, and we hope that our families feel comfortable to talk to the coaches and owners.”

Fun Fact: Gem Of Champions had their ‘Shine Off’ Saturday, November 16th and Zella, Jeremy and Alli’s one-year-old daughter made her debut into the cheerleading world!
