After traveling to some of the biggest all star cheerleading championships in the nation, it’s hard not to notice some of the trends that emerge among the all star community. If you’re a serious all star cheerleader, parent or coach, you’ve probably met one of these 10 people. Or, maybe you ARE one of these people. Either way, read on to find out!

1) The Mom-arazzi:

She’s armed with her iPhone camera and ready to capture . . . literally everything. Seriously, who needs Snapchat when your mom is there to document every moment of the day?

2) The Over-excited Coach:

You know the one. He pounds the floor, counts and cheers so loud it’s a miracle he still has a voice. Oh wait, maybe that’s every coach.

3) The Social Media Celebrity:

She looks like a regular cheerleader and acts like a regular cheerleader. Oh, and she already has 100,000 followers on Instagram. NBD.

4) The Pep Talker:

This is the person who always has the right thing to say, whether it’s encouraging the team to hit a routine or helping a friend struggling with a tumbling pass. This is the person teammates can turn to whenever they need a boost.

5) The Small But Mighty Cheer Wonder:

She’s only six years old and has more skills than you’ll ever dream of hitting.

6) The Power Tumbler:

Ever noticed how there’s always ONE person in each routine that seemingly has 1,000 tumbling passes? How do they even keep track of them all? We’ll never know.

7) The Trophy Hog:

Once the announcer hands over the trophy, this person just can’t seem to put it down. Other teammates want to get a picture with it? Not a chance. Coach wants to take over custody? Good luck prying it away.

8) The Cheer Dad:

There’s honestly nothing cuter than a proud cheer dad watching his daughter compete. Bonus points if they wear a cheer dad t-shirt. Double bonus points if there are rhinestones on it.

9) The Super Duper Bendy Top Girl:

Sure, most all star top girls are more flexible than your average Jane. But everyone now and then you spot one whose body bends in ways you never thought possible.

10) The Cheer Besties:

They’ve got the world’s most adorable walk-on ritual and they’re the first to hug it out when the routine is over. Friends who cheer together, stay together.
