WSF Routine Breakdown: Rain Athletics Aqua

After Day 1 at the WSF All Star Cheer and Dance Championship, the reigning WSF Champions, Aqua from Rain Athletics, is on top in the Senior Small Level 6 division!

Commonly known as the “Hit Queens,” Aqua earned yet another zero-deduction routine and a Day 1 score of 96.5.

Aqua topped the division at the 2018 WSF Cheer and Dance Championship and secured an At-Large bid to The Cheerleading Worlds. This Sunday, they’re hoping to add another zero-deduction routine to their collection, claim the championship title and punch their ticket to The Cheerleading Worlds with a bid.

Rain Athletics Aqua opened their routine with sky-high kick double baskets before moving into their perfectly synchronized jumps and tumbling section. Ten athletes throw standing back handspring fulls before Aqua moves to their first stunt.

As a team, Aqua performs 21 spins in less than thirty seconds for their elite stunt.

After making the crowd dizzy with their creative stunt sequence, Aqua transitions to a tumbling section that is a mix of three round of back handspring fulls and 5 round of back handspring doubles.

To start their pyramid section, Aqua performs five, solid, high-to-high tic-tocks. Their pyramid evolved into a dynamic sequence full of creative visuals and lots of difficulty.

The crowd went wild as Rain Athletics wrapped up their zero-deduction routine with a high energy dance.
