CHEER DETAILS

The BGSU Cheerleaders cheer at all home football and basketball games as well as all away football games. We are fully funded by the University.

DANCE TEAM DETAILS

The BGSU Dance Team dances at all home football games, men's and women's basketball games and post season play.

MASCOT DETAILS

Each year a current BGSU Students are able to apply to be Freddie or Frieda Falcon. This is a secret process. The identity of Freddie and Frieda are revealed each year during the Spring Semester.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Scholarships Offered: Yes 

Cheer Scholarship Details: 1 Scholarship offered to an in-state athlete for $500 per semester.

Dance Scholarship Details: BGSU Dance does not offer scholarships at this time.

Tryout Dates: Tentative April 20th-21st

Clinic Dates: 9/16/2018 – 10/27/2018 – 12/8/2018

Tryout Requirements:

Female Minimum Requirement: Standing Back Tuck, RO BHS Tuck
There are no male minimum requirements.

DANCE:

Audition Dates: Tentative 20-21 April 2019

Clinic Dates: 9/29/2018 – 10/27/2018

Audition Requirements: 

  • Triple/Quad Pirouettes
  • A la seconde Turns & Turning Combinations
  • Grand Jete, Side Leap, Calypso
  • Strong Motions/Movement

Tryout Dates: March/April 2019
