About Universal Cheerleaders Association

In 1974, Jeff Webb founded Universal Cheerleaders Association to provide the highest quality educational training for cheerleaders with the goal of incorporating high level skills with traditional crowd leading. It was Jeff’s vision that would transform cheerleading into the dynamic, athletic combination of high energy entertainment and school leadership that is loved by so many. Today it is the largest cheerleading camp company in the world. UCA trains over 180,000 cheerleaders every summer at over 3,200 sessions across the country, offering the widest array of dates and locations of any camp company. We also celebrate cheerleader’s incredible hard work through the glory of competition at over 50 regional events across the country and our Championships at the Walt Disney World Resort. Our events are nationally televised on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and CBS Sports to over 100 million homes and 32 countries nationwide each year. UCA has instilled leadership skills and personal confidence in more than four million athletes on and off the field while continuing to be the industry’s leader for fifty years. UCA Staff

UCA Staff is so much more than a summer job. Being a part of our family is truly something special.

The UCA Staff are SELECTED based on their skill, knowledge, experience, and teaching ability and TRAINED using hands-on instruction prior to camp. Most have attended UCA Camp as cheerleaders themselves!
As a part of our in-depth, in-person interview process, candidates are REFERRED by coaches and school administrators from the nation’s top programs. We are proud to have more collegiate level instructions and current coaches teach at UCA Camps than any other camp company.

UCA Championships

UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship

The National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC) first took place in 1980. NHSCC is the largest and most prestigious high school cheerleading championship in the country. In 2020, we had the honor of hosting over 20,000 athletes, 950 teams and 50,000 attendees at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. The championship is nationally televised on ESPN.

UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship

The UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship is the most prestigious college cheerleading championship in the country. The championship is held at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida, and nationally televised on ESPN.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Since 2011, Varsity Spirit has partnered with St. Jude to support its mission of finding cures for children fighting cancer and other catastrophic illnesses. Each summer, we ask every cheerleader attending UCA to send fundraising letters to friends and family around the country, asking for donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In the fall, the fundraising continues at Team Up for St. Jude Spirited by Varsity Game Day events. Since 2011, cheerleaders have raised over $10 million dollars for this incredible organization.
