Bio: Shannah is from San Diego, CA, and currently resides in Dallas, TX where she works for NDA as the Staffing Director and V!ROC Dance Coordinator. As a dancer, Shannah was a 4-year member and captain of the Ramona Song Team, a 4-year member and captain at CSU Long Beach, and competed at the Dance Worlds with Pace Elite. As a coach, she has 10 years of experience with all-star and high school teams. Before moving to Texas, she was the coach and choreographer for the Ramona High School Song team which competes national with NDA in Pom, Team Performance, and Game Day.

As a choreographer, she continues to work with her alma mater, Ramona, while also expanding her work with many high school, all-star, and college teams over the last 10 years. Shannah holds multiple NDA National Championship titles with Ramona in Small Varsity Pom, Gameday, and Team Performance. In addition, has received multiple innovative choreography awards and top 10 placements for many of her teams. Shannah has also been a consistent choreographer for NDA Summer Camp curriculum for the past 8 years including jazz, pom, gameday, and team dances.

Bio: Hi! My names Abbey Werner I am a part of UDA staff as well as choreographer. I currently attend Chapman University and am majoring in Dance. I choreograph Jazz, Hip Hop, and Pom. I love fusing together a commercial vibe with my dance team choreography. I have been choreographing for 3 years and would love to work with new teams.

Bio: Ashley Baxley is a Connecticut native and by day, a middle school science teacher. She has vast experience coaching and choreographing for high school, college, and all-star dance teams with a strong focus on Hip Hop and Team Performance. She has been choreographing and judging with the National Dance Alliance from 2017 to now. She also has experience with
professional cheerleading and dance team organizations such as the NLL New England Black Wolves and was a four-year member of the WNBA's Connecticut Sun Solar Power Dance Team.

Bio: Hello! My name is Brittany Reynolds and I’d love to work with your team. I have loads of experience and so much love for choreographing. I have been choreographing since high school for my studios hip-hop pieces and my high school dance team, specializing in pom. Since then I have choreographed all styles for my collegiate dance team- The Ohio State University Club Dance Team. Post graduation I have continuing working with my old college team as well as some new colleges, doing their nationals/competitive routines.

Bio: Gerardo “G” Sandoval, originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, brings over eight years of experience with the Universal Dance Association (UDA), having served initially as an instructional staffer then as a core staff member leading staff training for three years and now doing choreography for their nationwide summer camps. During his time with UDA, G has traveled internationally to countries such as Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, and London and Rome to teach, and/or judge regional, national, or international competitions.

In addition, G has made his mark in the commercial dance industry, including performances in Disney's ``Star Girl.`` Currently based in Las Vegas, G has performed in professional dance gigs within the local scene. He remains dedicated to his craft by actively training with professional dancers and choreographers, continually seeking to enhance his skills.

Bio: Jenna Winkler Homme hails from Nebraska where she danced literally her entire life. She danced competitively from the time she was six years old as well as on her High School and College Dance Teams. Jenna is a 3-time All American and 2-time All Conference collegiate dancer. She also performed with the Nebraska Ballet in numerous productions and as part of their Repertory Ensemble for three years. Jenna has won numerous regional and national titles both as a soloist as well as part of a team. She is in her eighth year with Universal Dance Association where she travels to various high school and college dance camps throughout the country as a Head Instructor as well as working Dance Nationals and Dance Worlds at the ESPN Center at Disney World. She is an award winning choreographer and has choreographed for high school and college dance teams, competitive soloists and teams, pageant soloists, musical productions, flag corps and show choir groups. Jenna currently is in her fifth year as the Head Coach for the Sioux City West High School Dance Team, and in her fourth year coaching the 5678! Senior All Star World's Team.

Jocelyn Silk

Bio: Jocelyn studied under Denise Sabala and her staff at Denise Sabala Dance Studios in Lake Zurich, IL for 12 years. While there she trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, pointe, musical theater, and tap and competed with the Denise Sabala Dance Company for 9 years. Jocelyn was also a 4 year member of Stevenson High School Patriettes dance team in Lincolnshire, IL. With Stevenson, she won 2 state championships, and 2 national championships while being one of the student choreographers her senior year.

Jocelyn then was recruited and signed by the Alma College Competitive Dance Team in Alma Michigan. With Alma, she has already won 5 National championships and she is not done yet. Jocelyn is a Dance Caption and enjoys the leadership role and being able to share her experience and knowledge while raising her team up. Jocelyn is a double major at Alma College, majoring in Dance, and Media.

Joseph Bridgforth

Bio: Joseph Bridgforth is a proud recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where he made history as the first and only male member of the university’s renowned dance team. Competing in Hip Hop, Pom, and Game Day categories, Joseph showcased his versatility and dedication to the art of dance.

As a UDA instructor, Joseph has worked with thousands of high school and collegiate athletes, sharing his passion and expertise. During his first year with the company, he was recognized as Rookie of the Year and performed in the NDTC 40th Anniversary Opening Number—a testament to his talent and leadership.

Joseph has continued to make an impact in the dance world by judging competitions locally and internationally, including in Puerto Rico. He is also an accomplished choreographer, creating routines for both dance teams and studios. Most notably, he had the honor of traveling to Austria to choreograph, expanding his influence on a global stage.

Kathryn Brasfield

Bio: Kathryn Brasfield is a Knoxville, TN native and resident. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, she was a member and captain of the University’s dance team and earned a degree in Health and Human Performance. She worked as a UDA staff member from 2007-2015, instructing dancers and leading camps all across the US. Kathryn is currently the assistant coach for the dance team at Bearden High School, her alma mater, and has helped lead the team to multiple state championships, national finalist placements, and 7 UDA National Championship titles in Gameday and Pom. In 2022, she also began coaching at West Valley Middle School, who earned two Silver medals at UDA Nationals at 2023.

Kathryn specializes in Pom, Gameday, and Jazz choreography, and works with all levels of school and all star teams. Her work has earned multiple choreography awards and has helped teams achieve top three finishes at the regional, state, and national level, as well as two UDA National Championships and one NDA National Championship.

Bio: Layne Strode Dobbins is a dancer, educator, and choreographer from Louisiana with training in all styles of dance. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Dance and Choreography from Belhaven University in Jackson, MS where she was an adjunct faculty, head dance team coach, and dance team choreographer for five years. She has worked for the Universal Dance Association for over ten years and has traveled the nation working camps, setting choreography, and judging events. Layne’s choreography experience ranges from studio competition dances, collegiate performances, and dance team competition routines in the styles of jazz, contemporary, pom, hip hop, kick, and many others. Layne uses her graduate school training to bring innovative visual dimension, movement dynamics, and musical detail into her award-winning choreography.

Lydia Bennett

Bio: Lydia Bennett is a professional dancer/choreographer living in San Antonio, Texas. Born and raised in Indiana, she moved to SA at the age of 19 to pursue her career in the professional industry.

Performances credits include Ally Brooke, Elliana Walmsley, Tag Team, Alex Angelo, Harlem Globetrotters and more. She has performed her own choreography in Brazil at an official NBA Finals event. Performed a halftime show at the Alamodome with an audience of 68,323 fans, which holds an NBA single-game attendance record. Toured with ProAction & Fluid Dance competition & convention. Worked as an entertainer at the 2023 XFL Championship game. She has also worked in film under the direction of Jennifer Eliason, on movies and commercials.

Lydia’s recent choreography credits started on the court for the San Antonio Spurs Hype Squad, but ended up traveling across the globe. In the past year her choreography was performed in Mexico City, Taiwan, and São Paulo, Brazil. Lydia is the founder of DBT Tutorials where she offers online tutorials of her own choreography. She has been teaching and choreographing at recreational & competitive dance studios across the US for 10+ years.

Bio: Leah is a native of Gilbert, Arizona. She has trained in various dance styles, such as Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Pom. Leah was a proud member of Casteel High School's Nationally-ranked pom team and served as a captain her senior year.

Leah is a state champion coach, teacher, and choreographer. She is a veteran UDA staff member and a technique coach for various varsity and junior varsity high school teams. Leah is currently pursuing her degree at Arizona State University. As a high school pom and dance team choreographer, Leah works with several different levels and styles to showcase the distinct strengths of each team she works with.

Megan Broomfield

Bio: Megan Broomfield is a current Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Duke University School of Medicine and a veteran UDA head instructor. She was a member of the 2022 ICU World Champion Premier Pom team and NDA national champion Iowa State University dance team. Megan is a current NASM Certified Personal Trainer and served as a Workout Captain for the ISU Dance Team during her time on the team. She also is a four-time Missouri State High School Dance Team state champion. She studies and teaches multiple styles of dance, and has attended prestigious programs such as the Radio City Rockettes Summer Intensive and the Joffrey Ballet School Summer Intensive. Megan graduated from Iowa State with a degree in Kinesiology and Health and continues to judge competitions, teach dance, and choreograph routines for studios and high school dance teams while studying to become a physical therapist specializing in working with dancers.

Morgan Blanton

Bio: I am a dance educator and choreographer based out of Lawrence, KS. I began studying dance at a young age, and I have a strong background in jazz technique, modern technique, and hip hop technique. I am currently in the process of obtaining my B.F.A. from the University of Kansas. I have been a dance educator for 6 years, working with all ages across various studios in the midwest. In the past 4 years I have choreographed for studio competitions, dance team competitions, and concert dance performances. My contemporary and lyrical choreography has been recognized by judges through awards and high placements. The past two years, my Pom choreography has placed in the top 5 in the 4a category at state competitions. This is my second year with envision, and I looked forward to creating for teams!

Bio: I am in my 4th year coaching at the collegiate level. I currently am the assistant coach for the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dance Team. I am heading into my 4th summer as a member of Universal Dance Association’s summer dance staff. This will be my 2nd season as an Varsity choreographer.

Payton Atkins

Bio: Payton Atkins is a highly accomplished dancer and educator from Ponte Vedra, Florida. She began her training in jazz, contemporary, ballet, acro, and hip-hop at the age of two. In her high school years, she was apart of the Ponte Vedra High School Dance Team, where she served as a four year member and captain. From an early age, Atkins has boldly expressed her passion and admiration for her craft, always advocating for the art & athleticism of dancers.

She is a recent graduate from Florida State University where she was a standout member of the nationally ranked FSU Golden Girls Dance Team. In her senior season, Atkins served as a captain & was on the board of The Student Athletic Advisory Counsel. Payton helped lead her team to a 3rd place finish at UDA College Nationals in the rigorous D1A Jazz category. Along with this accomplishment, Atkins and her team were selected to represent the country as Team USA in 2023, where she became a gold medalist at the ICU World Championships! Currently she is a dance instructor, traveling choreographer, and graduate student at The University of West Florida receiving her Masters in Business Administration.

Payton accretes many of her amazing dance opportunities, connections, and achievements to her role as a UDA Staff instructor Atkins will be going into her fourth year with the company along with serving as a Core Staff member this past summer. She has been so fortunate to mentor, educate, and foster relationships with athletes across the country while getting to continue her passion of dancing at the next level.

Rachel Wobbe

Bio: Rachel was a four year member and two year captain of the Miami University Dance Team (OH), where she lead the team to program history in the Pom and Jazz categories at NDA Nationals. Her passion for choreography began in high school, but was refined throughout college as she pursued a Dance minor. She has spent the last year (2023-2024) working at Legacy Dance Studio and teaching High School Math. Rachel strives to collaborate with dancers and coaches to create a routine that is uniquely you, while intentionally fulfilling each component of a scoresheet. Throughout her summers as a UDA instructor, she loves meeting other dancers and exploring new places. Rachel looks forward to another chance to grow her dance community through choreography!

Roland Latson

Bio: A native of Houston, Texas, Roland began cheering and dancing at the secondary level. He was a member of the Houston Community College repertoire dance program for two years and transferred to Blinn College and danced for the Nationally ranked Treasures dance team, where he served as lieutenant officer. While attending Rutgers University, Roland was a member of the Acrodanse Dance Company under the direction of Michael Gary. Roland holds a master’s degree in dance education from the University of Northern Colorado. A few of Roland’s performance credits include: an extra and leading male dancer in “Will A Real Man Please Stand Up”, starring Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, Super Bowl XXXVIII, and Showtime at The Apollo-On Tour. Roland is currently in his 12th year as a public-school dance educator. Roland Latson has served on staff with Universal Dance Association and ShowTime International and has choreographed for many dance teams both at the secondary and collegiate level. Roland is a member of several local and national dance organizations.

Samantha Brown

Bio: Sammy Shay is a Colorado Native and grew up dancing at Golden High School where they were State Champions. After high school, she became a UNC Sugar Bear where she spent 4 years dancing on their team and choreographing many game day routines. She also started her journey with NDA where Sammy has worked for 8 summers and is a Head Instructor. She has also been a part of NDA curriculum, and competition choreography by choreographing many competition pieces. She has choreographed in the military, Pom, hip hop, and jazz categories for competition routines. She has spent 6 years as a high school dance team coach so she knows what many coaches are looking for to offer variety.

Sammy has spent many years working with many different styles, teams, and levels. As an NDA judge, she is able to offer lots of feedback and areas for growth through teams. After choreographing for NDA, professional teams, and many different high school and college teams, she has a diverse background to offer your choreography.

Bio: Stephanie is a previous UDA Instructor who has traveled across the U.S., Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Norway, Slovenia, Mexico, Japan, Scotland Croatia, Chile, Columbia, Australia, Finland & Ecuador teaching many children of all ages/backgrounds. Stephanie has over 25 years of dance training and was a former member of the junior Gus Giordano Company. She was also inducted into the Hall of Fame of Dance at a young age. Stephanie is a former athlete, captain and coach for the University of Illinois Illini Dance Team. She has consulted and choreographed for several high school and college competitive teams, including both nationals and world champions.. She was honored to be a choreographer for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2013 and 2014, she has also choreographed for the Chicago Bulls Bullskidz half-time show in 2018. She also was a professional performer for 2 seasons with Six Flags Great America. She has performed on the MDA telethon featuring Jerry Lewis. She has been the technical coach for the last 11 years at Maine South High School 2017, 2019 & 2022 UDA National Champion High Kick Team. She is currently a UDA/NDA State Director for IL, IA, WI, MN, SD & ND.

Savannah Hooks

Bio: Savannah Hooks has been dancing since the age of 3 and is classically trained in the Cecchetti Ballet System. She has a passion for all styles of dance with extensive training in many, including: contemporary, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip-hop, modern, and Irish dance. She has danced for a number of dance companies and crews including Unity Dance Ensemble, founded by Tessandra Chavez under the direction of Tarua Hall and Theo Ivey; and High Profile Dance Crew, which resides in Las Vegas. She graduated from CSUN magna Cum Laude obtaining a Mathematics degree where she received the F. Lynwood Wren Award.

As an educator, Savannah has taught classes all over the country working as a Master Teacher, Choreographer, and Coach. She has been a member of the dance staff for the United Spirit Association for 13 years, where she was awarded M.V.P for 2016, 2017, 2018, and received the Unity award for 2019 and 2021. Savannah loves to create and has always had an absolute passion for choreography. She has been setting pieces on dancers from a very young age, and has choreographed countless award winning, and national title winning routines. She has also received many choreography awards through many different competition and performance dance circuits. Taking it back to high school, she was captain of her team for two years and 1st runner up solo champion for the USA Nationals 2010.

Conclusively Savannah absolutely loves teaching and inspiring others through dance and plans on doing just that for the rest of her life.

Taylor Shupe

Bio: Taylor Shupe is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She went on to dance for the University of Kentucky, where she represented the US at the ICU World Championships in both Hip Hop and Pom. Shupe finished her collegiate dance career at the University of St. Thomas, where she earned 6 National Championships as an athlete and 1 as an assistant coach! She was an assistant coach for the University of St. Thomas for two seasons, along with coaching at Edina High School for four. She has taught for UDA for 8 years, working on camp routine choreography, camp curriculum development and leading Staff Trainings. Recent choreography highlights include Minnesota State University - Mankato Jazz 2024 UDA College National Champions, ORDTTA Senior Jazz 2024 UDA All Star National Champions, Edina High School Kick 2023 6th in Minnesota High School State Championship.

She is currently located in Memphis, Tennessee, where she works for Varsity Spirit full-time in their Marketing Department!
