Nov 07, 2024 MEMPHIS, TN (November 8, 2024) – As Varsity Spirit, a division of Varsity Brands and a global leader in cheerleading, dance team, and band apparel, camps, competitions and yearbook, prepares to celebrate the 30-year milestone of the NCA All-Star National Championship, the company today announced a new chapter for this prestigious event. Beginning in 2026, the NCA All-Star National Championship – one of the largest and most anticipated events in All Star cheerleading will be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center and Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, through 2028. This decision comes with the upcoming revitalization project at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center is set to begin later in 2025. The 2026 event will take place January 9-11. These changes will not affect the 2024-2025 competition season, with NCA All-Star Nationals continuing at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas from February 28 – March 2, 2025. Varsity Spirit will also maintain a strong presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, hosting events throughout the region. However, due to the size and logistical needs of the NCA All-Star National Championship, it was necessary to find a venue that could accommodate the scale and grandeur of this flagship event. “We are excited about the revitalization project in Dallas and the benefits it will bring to sports like cheer in the metroplex,” said Varsity Spirit Executive Vice President and General Manager of Camp and Event Operations, John Newby. “Varsity Brands and Varsity Spirit are committed to maintaining a strong presence in Dallas and we’re pleased to keep these impactful events in Texas.” As part of the broader planning for 2026 and beyond, Varsity Spirit will also be adjusting other competitions and events. The 2026 NCA High School Nationals will be held January 23-26, 2026 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. The event will remain in Fort Worth through 2028. The dates and location for NCA High School Nationals in 2025 remain unchanged – January 24-26, 2025, at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center (KBGCC) in Dallas, Texas.
