These events will include the Orlando Thanksgiving Tour, the Varsity Spirit Spectacular and the Citrus Bowl Pre-Game Performance with hotel accommodations and thrilling theme park experiences at Universal Orlando Resort. The cheerleaders, dancers and mascots invited to perform at these events will be a combination of Team Captains, Co-Captains and Officers, Varsity Spirit Summer Camp Team Trophy Winners and a select group Varsity Spirit All-Americans. All-Americans are chosen during tryouts held at Varsity Spirit summer camps or via a virtual tryout process, with only the top 12% selected. “I am thrilled that these excellent athletes will have the chance to perform and experience our Special Events at Universal Orlando,” said Bill Seely, Varsity Spirit President. “We are honored to provide them a one-of-a-kind opportunity, where they will meet and connect with cheerleaders, dancers and mascots from across the country, and enjoy a safe and memorable holiday season at the Universal Orlando parks.” The carefully managed reopening of the Universal Orlando Resort comes with stringent new health and safety procedures in place. Enhanced safety guidelines include social distancing, health screenings and sanitizing, among others. Attendees will experience an action-packed trip with an exclusive performance opportunity inside the gates of Universal Studios Florida. Across the award-winning, three-park destination, attendees can embark on incredible adventures, like causing mischief with the Minions from Illumination’s “Despicable Me,” coming face-to-face with ferocious dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, walking the corridors of Hogwarts castle in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and so much more.
